Fulfillment Update & Origins Game Fair
almost 10 years ago – Wed, Jun 15, 2016 at 11:27:34 AM

Hello everyone!

It's been a busy few weeks since we checked in last, and we wanted to give you an update on how fulfillment is progressing.

Earliest Bird Shipped, June Shipping Underway

First and foremost, the Earliest Bird tier has been shipped out. We did hit a few production snags, including some material sourcing issues and a problem with our laser that set us back slightly, but that's all behind us now, and fulfillment of the June group has begun. We strive to meet our estimates, and we want to take a moment to sincerely apologize for the delays, and any inconvenience this may have caused.

If you're one of our Early Bird Masterwork pledges, know that your pieces are nearing completion, and will ship early next week if not this week. These required a bit more time to let the material settle and once we complete the elaborate handwork for each, they'll be on their way.

Thank you, backers, for your patience and support!

June fulfillment has begun and will continue through the rest of the month, and we do not anticipate any further issues with our fulfillment timeline. You should get a shipping notification once your pledge ships, and we'll send another update once we move on to the final group (July + Pre-Orders).

On The Road Again: ORIGINS GAME FAIR

As we speak, some of our team is in Columbus, Ohio, setting up for the Origins Game Fair! If you're attending the show, please stop by and say hello. You can find us in booth 450 in the Main Exhibit Hall (Hall C), opposite the Origins Library and Artist's Expo, starting Thursday, June 16th through Sunday, June 19th. In addition to our full line, we might just have a sneak preview of a project we've had in development for some time... it's too early to share much more yet, but we can tell you that, like our Magnetic Dice Tower, it's been a frequent request over the years, and we're very excited to finally take steps towards making it a reality.

As always, thank you all for your support of our mission to bring artisan craftsmanship and innovative solutions to tabletop gaming products. We're proud to have a place at your table, and we hope you'll enjoy your piece for years to come.

BackerKit Lock Down: Next Steps
almost 10 years ago – Sun, May 15, 2016 at 09:56:25 PM

Hello Backers!

The BackerKit deadline has passed, and your orders are being locked down. What does this mean for you? That depends...

If you've filled out your survey and placed your order...

We'll finish locking down all the pledges, and begin the process of charging the payment method you've provided (if you pledged for more items than your Kickstarter pledge covered). If there are any issues with your payment, you'll be contacted via email soon, but other than that, you're all set! Nothing to do now but sit back and wait for us to get your order to you.

If you missed the deadline...

All is not lost! The short length of time to fill out the survey was so that we could ensure we could place our material orders in enough time to complete the orders for the first shipping group. We chose to lock down all the orders as most of the fulfillment will happen shortly after the first group, and it makes much more sense to order our lumber all at once, rather than in smaller (more costly) batches.

But, if you missed the deadline, you can still edit and place your order. However, you should know that we cannot absolutely guarantee it will ship within the original estimate if you're in the May group. Of course, we'll do everything possible to ensure that happens, but our timetable is already quite tight!

If you have not filled out and submitted your BackerKit survey, please do so as soon as possible.

If you need help or have any questions, we're always just a message away!

Thank you one and all for your support and cooperation. The Sentinel Deck Box would not exist without you, and what's more, Wyrmwood as a whole could not continue to exist without you. Sincerely, we thank you very much for being a part of our history - and our future!

Last Call for BackerKit: Pledges locking down TOMORROW NIGHT!
almost 10 years ago – Sat, May 14, 2016 at 10:16:54 PM

Hello everyone!

Just a quick note to remind everyone to get their BackerKit survey filled out before the deadline, tomorrow night (Sunday, May 15th) at midnight. At that time, we'll be locking down pledges, which means they cannot be edited past that point!

Many of you have already responded, and we thank you for that, but we're still missing a significant number of responses, including a few from the May group, so if you have any questions or need any assistance, let us know.

Note that if you are in the May shipping group and don't respond, it is very likely your rewards will not ship by the May deadline, so it's very important to respond soon. Our fulfillment schedule is very aggressive, which is good news - you get your orders quickly! However, the downside is it requires everyone to act fast to ensure it all goes smoothly.

Thank you for your understanding, and we hope everyone has a great weekend!

BACKERKIT Invitations Are Going Out NOW! Next Steps & Tak Board Details Inside!
almost 10 years ago – Tue, May 10, 2016 at 09:09:46 PM

All,

The time has come! You will have an invitation to BackerKit waiting in your inbox any moment.

What happens now? Well, you follow the unique link in that email to your personal survey. This varies based on your pledge level, but for most of you, the following happens:

1) You confirm your pledge level.

For most of you, you will see it marked as $0 - don't be alarmed! This is done because all of your pledge funds have been converted into add-on credit.

2) You answer a few quick questions - for most of you, about 3.

3) You select your add-ons. This is the most important part of the survey!

In this section, you tell us what your pledge funds were for by adding items to your cart, as you would on a normal shopping site. Your pledge from Kickstarter has been converted into credit on BackerKit, so you can select whatever you like. If you select items that total more than your initial pledge - whether that means you want a more expensive wood than you pledged for, or you want some dice or a playmat, or even another Sentinel - that's okay! You'll simply be prompted to enter payment information when you finalize your order for any amount above your credit. You'll be charged for these items once everyone's survey is locked down, and we can process the payments all at once.

4) You'll confirm payment details (if needed) and your address.

And that's it! You'll be all set.

BackerKit surveys will remain open until midnight on Sunday, May 15th - we recognize this is a fairly brief window, but we need the data from you to ensure we can produce your rewards on time.

This is especially true for our Earliest Bird backers. If you are in the May delivery group, please respond as soon as possible - we'll be reviewing your pledges prior to locking them down to figure out the lumber we need to order, so a timely response will greatly help us, especially if your wood selections are exotic.

Thank you very much for your help! We can't wait to get you your Sentinels!

BackerKit Details

We wanted to touch on a few brief notes concerning BackerKit and the way add-ons are structured.

Engravings, Command Windows and Tiles are all individual add-ons - to get one of these modifications, you select it by itself and add it to your order. You'll be asked after confirming your add-ons which box each of these applied to, and the specifics concerning the engravings and other options.

With any other special requests or notes about your order, you can simply mention them in the survey, when prompted. Note that if you have a special request, just adding it to BackerKit isn't enough - you need to contact us directly through Kickstarter to mention it so we know it's coming! We may not see the special requests on BackerKit until we're fulfilling your pledge, and these are used to ensure we pack the order correctly. We need to get the information directly ahead of time to make sure we can accommodate it, and do so in time. Of course, if you've already contacted us about your request, you're all set - just mention it in BackerKit and no further action is required. :)

As always, feel free to contact us with any questions, requests or problems you may have.

Tak: A Beautiful Game

The good folks at Cheapass Games are helping to bring the game Patrick Rothfuss introduced in his novel The Wise Man's Fear (and James Ernest helped him create) to vivid life.

As we hinted... okay, strongly hinted... Wyrmwood has been tasked with creating something truly special for the campaign, and here it is - Devi's Box:

Devi’s Box: Hybrid Board side, with Maple, Walnut, and Bloodwood
Devi’s Box: Hybrid Board side, with Maple, Walnut, and Bloodwood

Each Devi's Box, a limited edition, will be individually numbered, and is an heirloom piece. Like the Kingkiller Chronicles series itself, these sets are meant to provide years of enjoyment, and be passed on.

Inside Devi’s Box: 62 pieces in maple and bloodwood
